Who is behind Delay Repay Calc

Radif Partners

Independent publisher of free calculators for rail passengers in Great Britain: Delay Repay by operator and ticket, refunds, season tickets and railcards

Delay Repay Calc is published by Radif Partners, a company that builds free tools on public rules and public data. This site is for passengers in Great Britain whose train was late or cancelled and who want to know, in a minute, what they are owed, by when they must claim, and where.

What the site does

It applies the published Delay Repay scheme of 28 operators to the ticket, price and delay you enter, for singles, returns and season tickets, and gives the amount, the band, the next band and the last day to claim. It explains refunds after cancellations, strike days, missed connections, the Rail Ombudsman, railcards and split tickets, each with a calculator. It sends you to each operator's own claim form. Everything is free, needs no account, and what you type stays in your browser.

Where the rules come from

From primary sources only: each operator's Passenger's Charter or Delay Repay terms, the National Rail Conditions of Travel, the Rail Ombudsman, GOV.UK announcements of the Department for Transport, the Office of Rail and Road's statistics on delay compensation claims, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Railcards website of the Rail Delivery Group. Every page links to the texts behind it. Where an operator's website could not be read directly, its terms were read on an archived copy, and the source says so. The method page explains each calculation.

What we are not

We are not a train company, National Rail, the Rail Delivery Group, the Rail Ombudsman, a ticket retailer or a claims company. We cannot see your booking, make a claim or receive a payment. The amounts are estimates from published schemes: the operator decides your claim. The site uses no official logo or brand.

How the site is paid for

The site sells no service, takes no commission, collects no contact details and recommends no firm. If advertising is added one day, it will never sit inside a calculator, and it cannot use what you type, which never leaves your browser.

Tell us when something is wrong

Write to contact@delayrepaycalc.com with the page and the rule, ideally with a link to the operator's current terms. The editorial policy explains how a correction is made and dated. The site has 59 pages of guides and calculators.
